Riffs & Rants from the Road: Episode 11

Going solo—almost.

I am done in by this amazing portrait of Zeke, a gift from my friend and fellow rambler Jeremy Weller, reportedly drawn while he sat by a campfire, delivered to me over tacos, and now posted smack dab in front of me on the Scamp’s wall. Check out his wonderful work and dang cool brain on IG @jmandroid2.0.

Greetings, friends. My thanks for your amazing response to Episode 10, your celebration of Zeke, and your kind words in the wake of her hitting the road. We’re back on schedule, so you’ll see two episodes of R & R—next one will hit your inbox this coming weekend. With the way this country’s behaving right now, odds are good we’ll riff and rant our way right into the fray.

So glad to have you along.

(Oh, and if you missed the story of why Zeke won’t pee in Kansas, it’s from a post a few weeks ago, “Dangerous Crosswinds, Beware.” Here you go.)

Riffs & Rants from the Road
Join me on a solo journey through the United States and beyond. Riffs & Rants roam far and wide while staying short & sweet.* You'll get weekly reports from the road, readings of great travel writing by authors both legendary and obscure, conversations with fellow travelers at truck stops, campgrounds, diners, and dive bars, and stellar interviews with some of today's best artists, writers, and thinkers.
*I cannot commit to "sweet."
