Riffs & Rants from the Road: Episode 14

Know Hope

Oops!! Sorry folks, first one had an upload error. That’ll learn me to post from the woods. 🙄 xo

Greetings, friends! Weird day for a Riffs & Rants drop, but you do what you gotta do. This week kicks off with a little bit of a reading from a book of mine that I haven’t looked at in years—The Center of Winter, a novel that came out all the way back in 2005. I thought of a line, and that got me thinking about the book, and the small town where it’s set, and small towns, and what this country is, or was, or could be. Enjoy a passage of a book about a little girl named Kate, get wind of a new project I’ll tell you more about next week (here’s a hint: those Know Hope hands you see are involved), and do me a favor: at the end of this episode, I make a request for audio, video, and writing from you. Oblige. ;) Questions? Give it a listen, comment below, & let’s roll. Happy Monday, friends, and peace.

xxM

Join me on a solo journey through the United States and beyond. Riffs & Rants roam far and wide while staying short & sweet.* You'll get weekly reports from the road, readings of great travel writing by authors both legendary and obscure, conversations with fellow travelers at truck stops, campgrounds, diners, and dive bars, and stellar interviews with some of today's best artists, writers, and thinkers.
*I cannot commit to "sweet."
