So I’m standing in the middle of a field in the middle of the night trying to get enough cell signal to write this post, which is the best I can do in lieu of the video I spent the week making - about solo life, Scamp life, road life, and the fact that some days, some weeks, some months or years, I guess, the road wins.
Admittedly, this isn’t quite as ridiculous as having to file a story under deadline while standing ankle-deep in a post-hurricane bog, but the gods of phones and video have given me to understand that they are not in any hurry to upload this week’s work, and since I work - and largely exist - at their whim, and it’s past 1 a.m., looks like this week’s post will have to wait.
Video essay from the Scamp Homecoming Rally will land in your inbox once I have adequate reception - should be early next week - and of course I’ll provide a full report on the shenanigans, snafus, and scrapes that we wild and crazy nomadic gig workers get up to while trying to make ends meet, catch a little sleep, and keep on #livingthedream.
May your days be gentle with you.
Those days the road wins! I know them well.
I’m with Eileen. Fantastic photo.
And as one of your avid readers, I say whenever your post lands is the perfect time. 💕
Gorgeous photo ♥️
